Upgrading
Remember how that Windows XP machine that you purchased some years back seemed blisteringly fast…. and now it trudges along very slowly?
There are a number of reasons for that, but one of the main ones is memory. Your PC/Laptop probably came with half a gigabyte of Random Access Memory (RAM), which was more than adequate for XP as it was at the time. Since then, with automatic updates you are probably on Service Pack 3. This has a bigger ‘footprint’ and is more resource hungry. The RAM originally installed is now insufficient.
Thankfully memory is fairly at present cheap and fitting it can usually be done in a matter of minutes.
